World of warcraft, the most popular MMORPG to date, has just like any other fantasy based RPG its own currency exchange system. Taking adventure after adventure selling the spoils and keeping all the loot you find off of everyone you beat, the old fashion way. While the later might sound like a better road to travel since having a profession is just like real life, consider that fact that without that profession you might just end up a poor troll or sad Paladin in the world of WoW.
