The perils of CF8 installation
Posted by: mduerdenI found this blogging software when looking at finding ways of installing CF8 on Windows XP Pro with Apache. Using the Acme Guide as a template, we have in the past managed CF7 multiserver installation on Apache, but following the same process hasn't quite worked for us. So back to the drawing board I guess?!
Has anyone had experience of installing CF8 on Apache? If you have, how did you go about it and were you successful? I would love it if Adobe could provide more guidance for this, but unless you are a server guru it feels a little like you left alone to figure it out.
I am no server expert and always get a bit stressed by server set up. Once I get CF8 working my next step will be getting Flex 2 installed and interacting with CF8. I am sure that will be equally stress free! I will be glad to getting back to doing some coding!
