yet another Application.cfc reference

Posted by: charlie griefer

(skip the foreplay and jump right to the main event... yet another Application.cfc reference)

late last week, ben nadel blogged a tutorial/reference on Application.cfc.  i've been using Application.cfm for a really long time (i don't recall specifically when it was introduced, but i may have had hair back then. yeah... it's been that long).

Application.cfc is one of those enhancements in recent versions of coldfusion that i've had a had time coming to terms with.  while i do try to use it in new applications that i develop, there's no doubt that i'm still much more comfortable with Application.cfm (old habits die hard).

a while back, ray camden had posted a "skeleton" Application.cfc reference that i've found helpful in the past.  coupled with ben's tutorial, the two can be very valuable.

i started putting together a combination of ray's skeleton (that sounds odd) and ben's content.  as i was building it, i thought "hey wouldn't it be cool to add (piece of functionality)?"  so it grew a bit bigger than i had originally thought... but i think it turned out well.

without further ado... i present you with yet another Application.cfc reference.

thats sweet CJ

(and don't you let anyone make fun of the fact that you once had long hair, but nature deceided to let it go. It's just a sign of more masculine testosterons, thus making you more of a man than those who keep their hair into old age... :)

Oh, you had to mention the prom didn't you. Now I'll have Bon Jovi's "Never Say Goodbye" rattling around in my head all day... and that's a bad thing. :)
